Laser Hair Removal At A Glance
During laser hair removal, the laser interrupts hair regrowth so that it will be unable to grow back once removed (unless there are underlying hormonal issues). We recommend 6-8 treatments for each area. This is because there are three phases in your hair growth cycle: growth, regression and rest and it is only during the growth stage that laser treatment will be effective.
At Medicetics we use the Lumenis Lightsheer Desire laser, which is a quick and effective machine that features a sophisticated sapphire glass cooling system which makes this treatment a more comfortable experience. The treatment feels warm with minimal discomfort.

Am I Suitable For Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal works on all skin tones and on the majority of hair colours although white, ginger and grey hairs cannot be treated. It is also important the skin is free from tan.
Men and women can both use Laser hair removal, and we can treat the underarm, bikini area, arm, legs, chest and back.
Does Laser Hair Removal hurt?
Some minor discomfort may be experienced but most of our clients experience a warming sensation with our new device.
How long will the treatment last?
We recommend 5-8 treatments depending on the area being treated. Hair removal is long-lasting. Expected results will be discussed during your consultation.
Aftercare and Recovery
There may be some redness after the treatment but you won’t experience any downtime.
