NeoGen Plasma Treatment

Yes! NeoGen Plasma is a great treatment for all skin types, skin colours and concerns. Treatments are tailored to the individual to ensure safety on darker skin tones.

You will require multiple sessions to achieve the best results. Low settings offer reduced (sometimes zero) downtime but will need at least 6 treatments, one per month. 

Moderate settings reduce the minimum sessions to 3, but will increase the aftercare period. 

As an idea, 6 sessions leave 1 to 5 days of tightness, and 3 sessions leave 5-10 days of very dry, flaking skin

Standard skin tightening treatments, such as radio frequency needling (e.g. Morpheus 8), and lasers (e.g. Fraxel) can be limited in how much of the skin tissue they can treat, as they are ‘fractionated’ treatments.

NeoGen is not fractionated - treating the full surface area of your skin. Additionally, the depth of treatment can be controlled to precisely target specific issues. This increases its versatility

The real standout feature vs other energy treatments is that it is able to treat a specific issue at a specific depth while leaving the other layers intact. No needles or lasers mean there is no charring, ablation, puncturing or vaporising of the skin. 

The controlled treatment means the aftercare is predictable with much less risk of complications compared to Morpheus, Fraxel or chemical peels.

Neogen Plasma requires repeat treatments to achieve the best results, with potentially significant peeling for several days afterwards, if high energy settings are used.

During the 10-60 minute treatment, you may experience a heat under the skin with each pulse. If necessary, we apply a strong numbing cream to minimise any discomfort.

Smoother, clearer skin is often seen as early as one week after treatment. Improvements in skin firming, lid tightening and so on tend to peak after 3 months.

Medical grade nitrogen gas is released from a canister into the generator within the NeoGen device, which converts the gas into plasma inside the handpiece. This thermal energy is then transferred to the targeted area on the surface of the skin.

Each pulse is a mass of thermal energy that delivers between 50 and 120 degrees in milliseconds without charring the skin’s surface. 

This creates controlled damage within the skin, triggering a natural healing response, repairing in addition to creating healthy collagen and elastin.

We advise you to keep hydrated post-treatment and keep the area moisturised with a gentle moisturiser. Avoid direct sun exposure and always apply a broad-spectrum SPF.

Active skincare containing acids or strong retinoids should be avoided for at least 3 days.
