By now, you’ve probably heard that CoolSculpting is one of the most effective, non-invasive approaches to fat reduction available on the market today. CoolSculpting’s unique and patented technology delivers freezing energy to fat cells, causing them to crystallise and eventually be destroyed.
Once the fat cells are broken down, the body’s waste removal processes eliminate the cells, which results in noticeable inch loss in the treated area.
While CoolSculpting is more popular than ever, many clients come into their consultations with similar questions: Will there be any pain during the procedure? What can the client expect in terms of downtime?
We Have the Answers!
At Medicetics of London, we ensure that all clients are given the information they need before their CoolSculpting procedure. With that in mind, here’s what you can expect from your CoolSculpting treatment:
The CoolSculpting Procedure:
The freezing energy will be delivered via handpiece to your desired treatment area. Once the device is placed on the treatment area, you’ll feel a firm suction. For the first five minutes, you’ll experience an intense cooling sensation. Some clients find it uncomfortable, but that sensation usually dissipates after five minutes. After this point, many patients read a book, watch a movie, or even fall asleep.
The procedure itself takes about 60 minutes to deliver, depending on the treatment area.
Anticipated Pain/Discomfort: Some patients may experience a mild cramping or dull ache in the treatment area within 48 hours after the treatment. This pain is manageable and is usually treated with ibuprofen. Less than five percent of patients experience late onset pain, which requires prescribed pain medication.
Downtime/Recovery: There is no downtime associated with this treatment; patients can go right back to their normal routine after their procedure.
Clients can expect to see maximum results three to four months after the final treatment. Results can be permanent, provided the patient stick to healthy eating and exercise habits.
